We were in the Zavelstein hiking home on October 31, 2020 and were very satisfied all round (by the way, also with the hygiene rules due to the corona pandemic). Although there were a lot of guests - also outside - we got our drinks, the food and the later orders quickly and the lady who took care of our well-being was not only competent, but also super friendly. You feel really comfortable as a guest and our little dog was just as welcome as we were. The price / performance ratio is also good, so we'd love to come back again !!

The ambience and location are very nice. The operator has communication problems, some of which have been trained by the mask and the origin. The food is hearty and regional. The notice of the possible wall routes should be brought up to date (1984).

Wanderheim very cozy, still in the old style, food very good, corresponds to a lot more than you would otherwise expect in the Wanderheim. Large portions, reasonably priced, always highly recommended. One should reserve.

Unfortunately only self-service and very expensive for the quality ... Everything has to be fetched and cleared away at the end. That you don't have to wash up yourself is good. Corona is unfortunately used here to save staff in service without adjusting the prices.

I can recommend it! The drinks came immediately and the delicious food at the right time afterwards. The service was very friendly and attentive. There were four of us and will be back! Thank you :-)

Not only great as a short stopover for hikers, but also for cozy evenings. Simply reserve online and enjoy. We received a very friendly welcome and were allowed to order directly. The drinks and the food were ready incredibly quickly and absolutely delicious. We had the schnitzel and the 3 game dumplings! Mega! And above all homemade and with products from the region. Absolute recommendation.

Very tasty here, we were here for the 2nd time this week. Top friendly service. Nice location with a large beer garden, our children had a lot of fun waiting for food here, because the playground is integrated into the beer garden. So there is nothing left to be desired 😉. The salads are particularly recommended, especially the potato salad.

Very nice beer garden under old trees. Nice staff and completely uncomplicated handling of the corona restrictions. Self-service is the order of the day in the beer garden. The food I ordered came quickly and was good. The portions are big enough, you will definitely be full. Price-performance is right. Unfortunately the beer doesn't taste good at all.

A beautiful place where you can eat and drink, without paying too much. Kids can play and the staff is friendly. On the menu you will find information for people with allergies There are a lot of walking trails in the area.

Really nice beer garden with a great atmosphere. Food very tasty and can only be recommended. Price-performance ratio is right. A visit is definitely worthwhile.

A very nice large beer garden with extremely delicious dishes and friendly staff. Many people find space in the shade under large trees. The hiking car park right next to it makes the hiking home the perfect place to stop after a strenuous hike.

Extremely cozy hiking home. When the weather is bad, the stove is well heated inside, in sunny weather there is a great beer garden with a playground and a great panoramic view. The food is really very good, rich and fairly priced. The cake also makes the heart beat faster. The drink prices are a bit ambitious, however, which is only of minor importance given the good overall picture.

Very nice and cozy restaurant on the edge of the forest of Zavelstein. The food was delicious and inexpensive. The service girls are very friendly and brisk.

Nicely located hiking home with a good beer garden. Good food, the staff is friendly and courteous. For the children there is a nice playground next to the hiking home. I will gladly come again. There are enough free parking spaces.

A great place to enjoy typical Swäbische cuisine with incredible hiking and sightseeing opportunities nearby. The Zwiebelrostbraten was tender, buttery, overall delicious! The restaurant decor is authentic and really beautiful, the ambiance is relaxing and restful.

The service was quick and nice. The premises are clean. The food was served very quickly. The roast roast with spaetzle was unfortunately lacking in flavor. Unfortunately, we didn't like the stew so much. Outside the facility is very nice. Next to it is a playground and a very large parking lot.

Love this Waldheim in the Black Forest - excellent Swabian German menu with farm fresh everything. Authenticity in every bite. Table service is perfect, friendly and attentive. I love coming in the fall or during Krokusbluten Fest in the spring. Perfect stop for lunch with lots of seating. Love the new parking lot for plenty of space to hike and return for great eats.

The service is friendly. Drinks and food were brought quickly even though it was busy. The portions are large and the taste is beer garden level. So ok The outside area is nice and there is a small play area for children. We weren't inside.
